Research summary

Reface is a creative photo and video app. Its current public feature list includes face swaps, avatars, hairstyles, headshots, photo enhancement and image animation. That makes it a different product from a service that assesses facial features: changing a picture does not establish that its result is a realistic forecast of your appearance.

Reface: the useful distinction

Reface is a creative photo and video app. Its current public feature list includes face swaps, avatars, hairstyles, headshots, photo enhancement and image animation. That makes it a different product from a service that assesses facial features: changing a picture does not establish that its result is a realistic forecast of your appearance.

We recommend evaluating it as an entertainment or creative-editing tool. This review checks the public offer and billing documentation; it is not a hands-on comparison of face-swap accuracy or a purchased headshot assessment.

Which feature do you actually need?

For a casual avatar, recognisability and the intended style may be enough. For a professional headshot, look more closely at eyes, teeth, glasses, jewellery and clothing edges. Compare the result against the original photograph and check whether it still represents you accurately.

For video, inspect more than one frame. A still preview can hide flicker or a mismatch when the head turns. Try an output with the same orientation and lighting as your intended project before extrapolating from the examples on a sales page.

Pricing and subscription cautions

The official FAQ says subscriptions renew automatically and explains that purchases can be tied to iOS, Android or the web. Check the price, billing period and account in your purchase channel. We do not publish a single universal subscription price because it may not describe your offer.

Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. For an app-store purchase, manage it in that store's subscriptions settings. For a web purchase, use the account's cancellation route. Keep confirmation of cancellation and the original receipt, particularly if you use different login methods across devices.

Only upload photographs you are entitled to use. A convincing face edit can mislead viewers even when the original intent was harmless, so disclose synthetic edits where the context could cause confusion. Avoid using somebody else's face without their agreement.

Before uploading sensitive images, read the privacy notice. Check which product and account the policy covers, and use the documented deletion route if needed. A polished marketing example does not answer questions about retention or access.

Verdict

Reface is worth considering for face-oriented creative editing when the actual export meets your needs. Compare it with SoulGen for a broader image/video-generation workflow. Make the decision after inspecting a representative output and understanding the renewal terms, rather than treating a synthetic image as evidence of a real-world transformation.
